Carl Eugene Howerton, 73 years, 3 months, and 30 days old, passed to heaven on March 10, 2015 at his home in Ava.
Carl was born November 11, 1941 in Ozark County, Missouri to Raymond and Dorothy (Langston) Howerton.
Carl was a dedicated worker. He had a lifelong passion of automobiles. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Carl was preceded by his parents, a son, Timothy and one sister, Loretta Trent.
Carl is survived by three daughters, Carla Cook, Alissa and Ken Stewart and Shannon and Brian Nelson, five grandchildren, Ashley, Blake, Tyler, Jimmy and Joseph, one great-grandchild, Peyton, one brother, Harlan and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Carl will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Thornfield Chapel with burial in the Thornfield Cemetery with full Military Honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post # 112. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to the Thornfield Cemetery.
