Carole Kay Gott

Carole Kay Gott, 72 years, 7 months, and 7 days old, passed to Heaven on November 13, 2015 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Carole was born April 6, 1943 in Ava, MO to Burrel and Marjorie (Heriford) Loftin. She graduated from Ava High School in 1961.

Carole was a life long resident of Douglas County. She was a retired Bookkeeper with MFA in Ava. She had worked there for over 40 years.

On February 1, 1965 Carole and Howard Gott were united in marriage in Miami, OK and to this union two sons, Brad and Brent were born.

Carole was a woman of faith and a strong Christian. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone! Carole was so kind to reach out to others and always extend a helping hand. Her joy was being with all her family and friends and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. The Lord's love shined through her!

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard, one son, Brent, two brothers, Jerry and Timothy and one sister, Donna Cox.


Carole is survived by her son, Brad Gott, Ava, MO, two grandchildren, Chance Gott and wife, Kendall, Myrtle Beach, SC and Caitlin Gott, Myrtle Beach, SC, seven siblings and their spouses; Marvin & Mary June Loftin, Russell & Caroline Sue Loftin, Burrely & Penny Loftin, Mike & Lisa Loftin, Janice Gray, all of Ava, MO, Patty & Bob Clevenhagen, Washington, MO and Lynda & Rick Snelson, Ava, MO, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Carole will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 17th from 6:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Maxine Lund, Pastor Marvin Loftin and Pastor Neal Crum. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Church or Mills Cemetery.
