Carolyn Sue Calhoun

Ava, Missouri

Carolyn  Calhoun, 73 years, 24 days old, passed away on August 22, 2023 at her home.

Carolyn was born July 29, 1950 in Ava, Missouri  to Bill and Wilda (Bellinger) Bristol.

She was a Christian and attended church when she was able.

On June 29, 1968, Carolyn and Carl were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri and were blessed with three daughters.

Carolyn enjoyed taking care of her cattle, painting, gardening and watching her cooking shows.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  When she was younger, she liked to drag race.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; three brothers, Gary Bristol, Jesse Bristol, and Harlan Bristol; and granddaughter, Isabella Albritton.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Melissa Moore, Christy (Brian) Albritton, and Cindy (Steve) Howard; twelve grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley, William, Austin, Monte, Andy, Azlynn, Travis, Makena, Kenley, Carson and Ford; two great-grandchildren, Kai and Baylor with one great-grandchild on the way;  brothers, Bill Bristol, Jr. (June) and Jeff Bristol; Randy and Shirley Farrar and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Carolyn will be Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to service time.  Burial will be in the Ava Cemetery.  Officiating will be Pastor James Hathcock.  Memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
