Carolyn Moyers Lamb

Carolyn Moyers Lamb, 84 years, 3 months, and 17 days old, passed away on May 25, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri surrounded by her family.

Carolyn was born February 8, 1938 in Mesa, AZ to Curtis Louis and Helen (Passey) Moyers.

On March 15, 1957 Carolyn and Maurice Lamb were united in marriage in Higley, Arizona and to this union seven children were born.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ava, MO.

Carolyn worked hard on the farm alongside Maurice with her children in the Brushyknob community.  She enjoyed teaching in both the public school system and in service at the church. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, but most of all she loved every moment with her children and grandchildren! She was never a world traveler but she enjoyed every adventure and embraced every experience!

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Maurice; one son, Mitchell Gale Lamb and one daughter, Elizabeth Lamb, three brothers, Dale, Ken, and Richard Moyers.

Carolyn is survived by her children and their spouses, LeeAnn and Chris Tomlinson of Bolivar, MO, Callie and Rodney Welch of McCammon, ID, Jolene and Jack Matthews of Taneyville, MO, son and wife, Gordon Dale and Miriam Lamb of Bryan, TX; and Jamie Lamb and Stephen Barry of New Orleans, LA, and 33 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; siblings; Jim Moyers and Barbara Clonts, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and numerous friends.

Funeral services for Carolyn will be Saturday, May 28, 2022  at 2:30 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ava, MO with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the Church. Because Carolyn was known for her kindness and generosity the family suggests to do a kind deed in her memory. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
