Carolyn Sue Swearengin

Carolyn passed away on April 19, 2026, leaving behind her family and all those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her faith and the simple joys that filled her life.

Carolyn was born on December 30, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri, to John William Barton and Bertha Lorene Malicoat.

Carolyn later married Glenn Swearengin. They lived on a small farm outside of Ava, where she loved gardening, homemaking, and raising her family.

Carolyn was a Christian and enjoyed volunteering with her church. She loved sewing, quilting, baking cakes, making crafts, going fishing, and creating things with her hands.

Carolyn found great fulfillment in nurturing her family and in her passion for sewing and quilting, crafts that allowed her to express her creativity and bring beauty into the lives of those around her.

Funeral services for Carolyn will be Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday 9:00 AM to service time. Burial will be in the Stillings cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Jack Clemans. Memorials may be made to Stillings Cemetery.
