Cathy Plaster, 47, daughter of Dewey R. Cook and Audra Kastning Cook was born May 18, 1959 in Gainesville, Mo. and went to be with her Lord Thursday March 1, 2007 in Mtn. Home, Arkansas. Cathy was a member of the Souder Church of Christ. She was a rock to her family and church family and friends. As a breast cancer survivor she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she was always ready to help all in need. She held a deep and abiding faith in her Lord, which was a great gift to her family and friends during her last days.
Cathy was a life long resident of the Wasola area. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1978. She was united in marriage to Glen Plaster on June 24, 1983. To this union one son, Travis, was born.
Cathy was employed at Baxter Health Care for 10 years. She left her employment to come home to be a mother and assist her husband, Glen on their dairy farm. Cathy was quite the out doors lady. She loved fishing, riding four wheelers, milking and feeding baby calves.
Cathy was preceded in death by her son, Travis, her parents and infant brother, James. She is survived by her husband, Glen of the home, one brother, Ray Cook, Wasola, MO, four sisters, Faye Hampton and husband, E.J, Wasola, MO, Geneva Davenport and husband, Leon, Yellville, AR, Carol Pendergrass and husband Larry, Caulfield, MO, Judy Hladun and husband, Ron, Mtn. Home, AR, her in-laws, Howard & Virginia Plaster, Wasola, a very special aunt Velda Kastning Morrison, Cathy's Church Family, her nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 5, 2007 in the Souder Church of Christ, with E.J. Hampton officiating, eulogy by Ronda Beard. Visitation will be Sunday 4 to 6 P.M. in Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Interment will be in the Souder Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Souder Cemetery or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mtn. Home, AR in care of the funeral home.
