Obituary

C.H. Myers, Jr., age 82, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR.
C.H. was born on September 17, 1931, in Ocie, Missouri, the son of Charley Henry Myers and Dollie Agnes (Taber) Myers, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by several siblings: Florence (Myers) Nichols, Donald Myers, Hervil "Corky" Myers, Darrell Myers, and Sharon (Myers) Griffith.

He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1950, and worked in the area during construction of the Bull Shoals Lake project.

C.H. proudly served as a gunner's mate in the US Army during the Korean War, from 1952-1954, attaining the rank of Corporal, and was honorably discharged in 1954.

On February 14, 1958, he married Frieda Earlene Haskins, and began the next 55 years of their journey together, working and farming the Ozark County area. C.H. is survived by, Frieda, his loving wife; a daughter, Rebecca (Myers) Johnson and her husband Bobby, of Springfield, MO; a son, Sam Myers and his wife Teresa, of Theodosia, MO; a son, Randy "Tobe" Myers and wife Melisa, of Theodosia, MO; a daughter, Tena (Myers) Harman and her husband Marty, of Walnut Grove, MO.

Twelve grandchildren: Joshua Miller, Jessica Baldridge, Logan Miller, Delaney Johnson, Amber Comstock, Christy Beaudin, Cassy Myers, Mikayla Myers, Kelsie Myers, Loran Myers, Cheyenne Harman and Shelby Harman.

Four great-grandchildren: Brock, Blaine, and Blake Baldridge and Avery Miller.
He is also survived by two sisters, Mona Welch and Bonnie Copeland; and one brother, Hershel Myers, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

C.H. was baptized at Hercules Baptist Church before entering the Army, and attended Salem Baptist Church when able.

Memorial services will be at 10 AM on Thursday, December 26th, at Salem General Baptist Church, Ocie, MO. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later time with immediate family.

The family requests donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
