Charles (Charlie) E. Cameron, 69, Caulfield, MO passed away on August 16, 2010 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. He was born on July 23, 1941 in Moody, MO, the son of Bedford Oden and Marie (McElmurry) Cameron.
On October 17, 1975 he was united in marriage to Cecelia Corp in Vinita, OK. Charlie was a lineman in Kansas when he was a young man. Later in life he drove a fertilizer truck, and worked as a Wrangler for Cloud Nine Ranch. Charlie was a farmer and his passion in life was horses. He loved working with, handling, and owning horses. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.
Charlie is survived by his wife Cecelia of the home in Caulfield, MO; one daughter Vickie Oxley and her husband Theron of Wasola, MO; two grandchildren Jessica and Levi Oxley; one great granddaughter Blair Madison Wood-Oxley; one brother Leroy Cameron and his wife Jewel of Viola, AR; two sisters Irene Judd of West Plains, MO and Wanda Faye Minge of Moody, MO; one brother-in-law Ivan Corp and his wife Janice of Grain Valley, MO; one sister-in-law Joyce Hunt of Wichita, KS; and his mother-in-law Irene Corp of Tecumseh, MO; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Bedford Oden and Marie Cameron; one son Jeff Cameron; three brothers-in-law Jerry Corp, Thomas Judd, and Don Hunt; and his father-in-law Isom Corp.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Wayne Stewart officiating. Interment will be in the Sallee Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sallee Cemetery, or to the giver's choice, and can be left at the funeral home.
