Charles Haynes

Charles Haynes, 81years, 6 months, 9 days old, departed this world on July 2, 2018 in the home of his sister, Juanita Goins in Sparta.

Charles was born December 24, 1936 in Douglas County, Lincoln Township to Roscoe and Wilma (Swearengin) Haynes.

On November 14, 1959 Charles and Carrol Sue Daniels were united in marriage in Miami, OK and to this union one son was born and one son adopted.

Charles was one of 11 children in his own family. He took after his mother with his joy of talking and spending time with family, friends and loved ones. Charles took great pride in his service in the Navy and later providing mechanical service and knowledge to the general public, family and friends. Charles worked several years in the Kansas City area with his brother Gerald and his cousin Shirley and her spouse.

He enjoyed deer hunting and being outdoors.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carrol Sue, two sons, Harold and Dennis Haynes, an infant brother and two other brothers, Clyde and Gerald Haynes.

He is survived by his seven brothers and sisters, Jackie and Ruth Haynes, Marshfield, MO, Larry and Vivian Haynes, Ava, MO, Ronnie and Judith Haynes, Fordland, MO, Carolyn Hendrix, Springfield, MO, Jeanette and Darrell George, Ava, MO, Juanita Goins, Sparta, MO, Rebecca and Brian Plunkett, Nixa, MO, two granddaughters, Amy and Jenise, and a canine companion of the last 12 years, Bolie.

Funeral services for Charles will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Ellison Cemetery was of Ava. Visitation will be Friday prior to service from 10:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to the Ellison Cemetery.
