Charles Kenny Jenkins

Charles Kenny Jenkins, 82 years, 11 months, 1 day old, passed away February 28, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Kenny was born March 27, 1935 in Springfield, MO to Vernie and Iva (Bowman) Jenkins.

Kenny was a retired Logger with his own Sawmill and he also raised beef cattle. He also lived in Colorado and plowed snow for the mountain passes.

On June 2, 1956 Kenny and Emelie Thornton were united in marriage at Aztec, New Mexico and to this union three children were born.

Kenny was a Christian! He enjoyed fishing, his garden, and his dogs, Maggie and Coco. Most of all his joy and love, was being with his family!

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Emelie of the home in Ava, three children and their spouses, Sherrie & Bill Coats, Ava, Larry Jenkins, Garfield, AR, and Bruce & Diane     Jenkins, Bella Vista, AR, six grandchildren, Shannon & John Cornelison, Jeremy Coats, Grant & Denise Jenkins, Charley Jenkins, Peter & Ashley Jenkins, and Nick Jenkins, seven great grandchildren, Chloe, Lillian, Madelyn Cornelison, Elijah Jenkins, Adyson Bradbury, Reid and Tate Rogers,

one brother, Loy & Charlotte Jenkins, one sister, Joyce & Lane Plumb, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Kenny will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Neal Crum. In lieu of flowers family request memorials to Gideon's or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
