Charles
Kessell
June 21, 9165 – April 1, 2026
Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc.
Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Charles C. Kessell, beloved son, passed away April 1, 2026 in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 60. He was born June 21, 1965 in Chicago, IL to Harry James and Francis Kessell. He was a beautiful child with blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin.
Charlie loved fishing since the early age of four. He was a wonderful boy who had a baby brother, six years younger, which he shared many happy times with growing up in Illinois and California. Charlie was an eagle scout and loved the great outdoors, camping and fishing. He enjoyed motorcycles, but cars were his talent, which he learned from his dad. They each had a knack for fixing almost anything back to working condition.
Charlie had all sorts of critters as pets, from white rats to lizards, to turtles and snakes, you name it and he had them. He took good care of them all. His favorite pet was his dog, Snoopy, a springer spaniel. He had a love for kittens and any wild animals as well.
His friends were very close when it came to hanging out or driving around in their cars. He had a Chevy Camero and a Harley. When he turned sixteen, he worked with his dad in a gas station in Wisconsin. He spent his summer working with his dad and learning all about cars and how to repair them. Besides all that he worked hard on his farm, and had to milk cows and feed the pigs, which later became ham for the family.
The family he leaves behind include his mother, Francis Kessell; his girlfriend Patty; his children Tabitha Pankow, Anthony Pankow, Drake Pankow; grandkids Aiden “Bud”, Thalia, Gavin; his brother James Kessell; nephews Brandon and Dylan; niece Nia; his adoptive family Kristen and Tristen; dear friend Julie; and best buddies Rich, Derrick & Barb.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Burial will be in the Faye Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
