Charley Ray
Pace
September 4, 1956 – May 9, 2026
Clinkingbeard Chapel
Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Charley Ray Pace, 69, of Branson West, MO formerly of Isabella, was born September 4, 1956 to Charles and Imogene (Tabor) Pace. He departed this life on May 9, 2026.
Charley leaves behind 3 children: Amanda, Russell, and Brittany from previous marriages; his loving partner, Karen Jackson; her brother, Mark and her mother, Dorothy. Karen dedicated her life to Charley. She was his significant other, caregiver, and his best friend. He also leaves behind one biological brother, Alfred Murrill Pace; an acquired sister, Josa E. Richards; one acquired brother, Michael W. McCullough; a very special nephew, Justin Byerley; and many more relatives and friends.
Charley was a Marine and loved vintage cars. He was a mechanic; many called him a “shade tree mechanic”. Charley restored a 1966 Ford Falcon Sport Coupe. Justin finished it just in time for the 2025 Hootin & Hollarin Parade and car show. It was a dream come true, and Justin made sure that happened.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents; and a baby sister; and his life-long friend, Jim McCullough. Charley will be missed by many.
Rest in Peace, Charley. You lived your life your way. “Oorah” Marine! Job well done.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Officiating will be Bro. Jimmy Kyle.
