CHARLEY SANFORD WALRATH
Charley Sanford Walrath, 65, Gainesville, MO, passed away on October 6, 2009. He was born on June 23, 1944 in Gainesville, MO the son of Richard Allen and Opal Rosell (Ramey) Walrath.
On August 3, 1971 he was united in marriage to Sharon Oleson in Gainesville, MO. Charley spent many years working as a heavy equipment operator for RLH in Mountain Home, AR. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. He also loved gardening and feeding small wildlife. One of his hobbies was raising chickens. Some of his favorite times were those spent with his grandkids and great grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Walrath; one step son James Klein; one step daughter Martie Ann Klein; seven grandchildren Jessica Nicole, Andrew Amos, Paige Marie, Sunshine, Dawn, David, and Nyla; five great grandchildren Star, Blaze, Zayne, Konner, and Logan; five sisters Betty Strong, Ethel Ray, Frances Loftis, Pauline Strong, and Helen Head; three brothers St. John Walrath, Bill Walrath, and William Walrath; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents, one son Charles Allen Walrath, and one brother Frank Walrath.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Mammoth Assembly of God Church with Gale Wooten officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 AM to service time at the church building. Interment will be in the Mammoth Cemetery.
