CHARLINE JUNE THOMAS
Charline June Thomas, 83, Ava, MO passed away on June 14, 2010 at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, MO. She was born on June 20, 1926 in Romance, MO, the daughter of Henry Oscar and Lena Nance.
On April 3, 1946, Charline was united in marriage to Alton Thomas in Mountain Home, AR. He preceded her in death in 2006. To this union one daughter was born, Kay. Charline was a very outgoing woman who loved her family. She and Alton spent a lot of time together outdoors hunting and fishing. In later years she became very fond of her cell phone. She loved making calls and figuring out new features such as "speed dial". Charline was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by one daughter Kay Johnson and her husband Ralph of West Plains, MO; one granddaughter Stephanie Seutter of Austin, TX; one great grandson Evan Seutter of Austin, TX; two step grandchildren Mike Johnson and Elizabeth Blau; three sisters Barbara Loftis of Noble, MO, Annave Loftis of Noble, MO, Emogene Snell and husband Dale of Willhoit, MO; two brothers Lyman Nance of Ozark, MO and Jack Nance of Willhoit, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alton, and two brothers Wayne and Brant Nance.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 17, 2010 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Halbert Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Loftis Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9am to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Loftis Cemetery and left and the funeral home.
