Charlotte Gail Bock, age 81 passed away on August 29, 2026, at Cox Hospital following a brief battle with small cell lung cancer. Born June 9, 1945 in Lutie, Missouri (Ozark County) to Freddie Marion and Floy Ray (Futrell) Ridenour. Charlotte lived a life centered around family, faith, and the people she loved. Charlotte began her career with Southwestern Bell in 1967, where she worked for more than 30 years before retiring in 1998. While working in St. Louis at Southwestern Bell, Charlotte met Mike Bock, and they later married in the St. Louis area. Following retirement, Charlotte and Mike moved to Ava, Missouri to care for Charlotte’s mother and to be closer to family. Charlotte and Mike enjoyed spending time together and with their family. They loved taking trips to Eureka Springs and St. Louis, attending shows in Branson, and browsing flea markets and shops. Most of all, they treasured time spent with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Charlotte was blessed with a loving family. She is survived by partner, Mike Bock for 34 years and her sons, Myron and Dwight Bruffett.

Myron and his wife, Mary Bruffett, have four children: Ellen Johnson and her husband, Myers, and their children, Ethan, Emmit, and Ezrah, of Branson, Missouri; Matthew Bruffett of Branson, Missouri; Annie Stallings and her husband, Nathan, and their children, Magnolia and Steele, of Nixa, Missouri; and Addyson Bruffett and her daughter, Birdee Bruffett, of Branson, Missouri. Dwight Bruffett is the father of two sons: Jesse Bruffett of Springfield, Missouri, and Jake Bruffett and his wife, Mercedes, and their daughter, Valorie of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Charlotte and Mike attended the Seymour Life Church in Seymour, Missouri. Their faith, family, and time spent together were important parts of their lives. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Floy Ridenhour, and her brother, Jimmy Howard, who passed away in infancy. Charlotte will be remembered for the life she shared with Mike, the family she loved so dearly, and the many memories created over the years. Her family will carry those memories with them and cherish the time they were blessed to have with her.

Funeral services for Charlotte will be Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be at 12:00 P.M. Thursday prior to the service. Burial will be in the Lutie Cemetery, Theodosia, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Sherry Welch. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
