Pearlie Christine Breshears, 76 years, 4 months, and 3 days old, passed to heaven on April 24, 2016 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO with her family by her side.

Christine was born December 21, 1939 in Ava, MO to Barden Wesley and Mary Modena (McCoy) Lupton. She graduated from Ava High School in 1958.

On May 28, 1960 Christine and Donald Joseph "Joe" Breshears were united in marriage in Grandview, MO and to this union five children were born.

Christine was retired from working at Ava Wal Mart in the shoe department for several years. In earlier years she worked at Emerson Electric and also was a dairy farmer.

Christine was a strong Christian and had been attending Ava Assembly of God. Earlier years she attended Girdner Church with Joe. Christine was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Christine was engaged to Robert "Bob" Wood. She was looking forward to their future together. Christine enjoyed collecting butterflies, painting and cooking. Her joy was being with all her family.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe, a son, Jimmy, a great granddaughter, Addison Breshears, two brothers, Bill and Jim Lupton and two sisters, Louise Butler and Loretta Peterman.

Christine is survived by four children and their spouses, Joe Allen & Carol Breshears, Terry & Missy Breshears, Robert Breshears all of Ava and Pam & J.D.Price, Wasola, MO, 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, three brothers; Bart, Kenneth and Charlie Lupton, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Christine will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial in the Girdner Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International or Girdner Cemetery.
