Claude Ed Morton

Ava, Missouri

Claude Morton age 86, left this earth for his heavenly reward on March 2, 2024. He passed away at his home in Ava with his companion, Rose Zella, by his side.

Claude was born on October 27, 1937 in Paducah, Kentucky.

He was a Christian and attended the Ava Methodist Church and Ava Assembly of God.

Approximately 18 years ago, he left the traffic and hectic California life style to become a well known and beloved friend to many in the Ava Area.

Claude served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later in the U.S. Navy as an Electrical Engineer.  This career took him to many places around the world and he even resided in Spain for a number of years! His adventurous spirit also led him on numerous river rafting excursions and riding his beloved black Harley Davidson trike throughout the Ozarks.  Other passions included music of all kinds, dancing, Fox News, and traveling with Rose Zella.  They just returned from a Cruise to Belize, which was a Christmas gift from Claude.

His natural charm and charisma endeared him to people that realized they were in the presence of a highly intelligent and talented man.  He shared numerous stories from his life experiences, and there wasn't an electrical problem he couldn't resolve.
