Clinton Maloney

Clinton Maloney, 98 years, 7 months, and 26 days old, passed to heaven on February 8, 2014 at James River Care Center with his loving wife, Dorothy and family by his side.
Clinton was born June 13, 1915 in Coats, KS to Elmer and Ica (Lewis) Maloney.
Clinton was a resident of Springfield, MO since 1993 moving from Ava, MO where he grew up. He was a retired Manager with Carnation Milk Co. in Ava, MO.
On December 24, 1935 Clinton and Dorothy Fay Klineline were united in marriage in Ava, MO and to this union two daughters were born. They were blessed to be together and celebrate 78 years.
He was a Christian and a member of the Campbell Avenue Methodist Church.
Clinton was very active in the community. He a was a long time volunteer at St. John's Hospital (Mercy). He also volunteered for the Springfield Police Dept. as an H.E.A.T.Officer.
He was a member of the Ava City Council, Ava Country Club, Boy Scouts and Lion's Club. Clinton adored his family and loved people as they loved him.
Clinton was preceded by his parents, a brother, Lowell, two sisters; Opal Campbell and Ruie Krimbrell; son-in-laws; Tex Christopher and Bill McGehee and great grandson, Christopher Hayter.
Clinton is survived by his wife, Dorothy Maloney, Springfield, MO, two daughters; Frances Harmon & husband, Wes and Judy McGehee all of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren; Cathi Christopher, Teri Sickmyre (Clif), Kelly McGehee Kirkpatrick and Mark McGehee (Holly); five great grandchildren; Austin (Christina), Katie, Krystal, Renon and Benjamin; one great great granddaughter, Kali; special sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Clinton will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Terry Kendrick.
