Connie Dean Jones, 79, of Thornfield, MO passed away October 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 20, 1942 in Garland, WY to Alton and Leatha (Chapman) Jones.

Connie grew up in Theodosia, MO and attended the Barefoot Elementary school. At the age of 17 he was united in marriage to Ethel Pellham at Lutie, MO. Connie went to work in the Springfield area and the couple had a farm near Sparta. At the age of 24, Connie was drafted into the Army, where he proudly served two years. After his honorable discharge the couple moved back to Ozark County and settled just south of Thornfield, where they began their dairy farm. Connie worked on the farm and loved hunting, fishing and having a good laugh. Connie was always quick with a smile and had a wit to match; if he thought it, he said it!! He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and his dogs. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Ginger Taylor and husband Larry of Mansfield, MO, his son Ray Jones of Theodosia, MO; 5 grandchildren Laken Berry and husband Drew of Mansfield, MO, Hunter Jones of West Plains, MO, Ava Taylor, Clemmie Taylor & Lucie Taylor; and one great grandson Ryder Berry all of Mansfield, MO; one brother Lynn Jones and wife Judy of Theodosia, MO; one sister Carla Hambelton of Mtn Home, AR; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alton and Leatha Jones; his beloved wife Ethel Jones; and one sister Vonda McDaniel.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Longrun Cemetery with Dale Roberts officiating. A come-and-go visitation will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Longrun Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
