Connie Sue Osburn, 78 years, 6 months, and 17 days old, passed away on January 17, 2026 at her home with family by her side.

Connie was born on June 30, 1947 in Mansfield, MO to Oscar and Dale (Letterman) Thomas.

She was raised in the Breedon community in Douglas County.

On August 17, 1963 Connie and Bobby Joe Osburn were united in marriage and blessed with two children, Joan and Billy.

Connie worked hard all of her life. She and Bobby had a dairy and beef farm. There wasn’t anything Connie couldn’t do on the farm. They worked together as a team their whole married life.

She was a Christian and became a believer as a child. She attended church with her mom, Dale growing up. Her faith was strong. Connie loved growing flowers, tending her garden, reading her books, and fishing. In addition, she enjoyed playing cards with her sister and her friends at the Ava Senior Center.

Her family was her life and love. Connie loved every minute she could be with them. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Joe Osburn in 2008; three brothers, Howard, Dwight, and Gordon Thomas.

Connie is survived by her daughter and husband, Joan and Robert Esiline; son and wife, Billy and Tiffany Osburn; grandchildren, Joe and Sheri Hampton, Lauren, Leslie, Adam, Alex, Brianna, Alyssa, Cauleen, and Jodie; great grandchildren, Tessa, Dane, Christian, Phader, Forest, Sissy, and Ivy; one brother, Jerry Thomas and one sister, Annabelle Walker; many nieces; nephews; and a host of extended family and numerous friends.

Cremation services are being provided by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. It was Connie’s wishes to be cremated and no services. Memorials may be made to the Stillings Cemetery.
