Connie Joe Stone, 56 years, 0 months, and 16 days old, passed away on January 3, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
Connie was born October 18, 1954 in Springfield, MO to George and Celesta (Hodges) Stone.
Connie was a farmer and a lifelong resident of the Ava community. She was a 1973 Ava High School graduate.
Connie's life was working on the farm. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, milking, fishing on Bryant Creek, hunting, and spending time and taking care of her family.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, George Stone and her grandparents.
Connie is survived by her mother, Celesta Stone, Ava, MO, four brothers and their spouses, Butch & Dawn Stone, David "Mutt" Stone, Mike & Debbie Stone and Danny Stone all of Ava, MO, a special nephew, Darren Stone, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Connie will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Yates Cemetery east of Ava. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Welch. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus, 807 N. Main St., Ste 1, Mtn. Grove, MO 65711 or Yates Cemetery.
