Dallas Eugene Cornelison

Dallas Eugene Cornelison was born Feb. 28, 1940, in the Bruner community, the son of Elmo Elvis Cornelison and Ammie Francis (Swearengin) Cornelison, and departed this life Feb. 25, 2008 at the age of 67 years 11 months and 27 days.
Dallas was a resident of the Squires, MO for the past 18 years. Dallas graduated from Ava High School and on April 8, 1958 Dallas and Leta Fae Lee were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Seymour, MO. Dallas and Leta were blessed with four children.
Dallas was employed by General Dynamics Aircraft Co of Ft Worth, TX and self-employed as a truck driver until retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing researching genealogy on the internet, as well as spending time with his grand-children. Dallas was baptized in 1953 at Haskins Ford in Christian County and was Sunday School Superintendent at Union Chapel Baptist Church in Webster County.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, twin children, a brother, Doris Ray Cornelison and sister, Glenda Lee Etta Cornelison. He is survived by, his wife, Leta Fae Cornelison of the home, two children, Irene Lavon Cornelison and close friend, Leonard Hall, Mancell Eugene and wife Connie, three grand-children, Candie Michelle Cunningham and friend Steve, Jeremy Michael Cornelison and Willie Eugene Cornelison, one great grand-child, Colton Eugene Ray Wiles, 10 brothers and sisters and spouses, Carolyn and Floyd Lockmon Jr., Seymour, MO, Willa and Gene Cook, Springfield, MO, Jessie and Amanda Cornelison, Orlando, FL, Gerald and Twyla Cornelison, Loris, South Carolina, Dell Cornelison, Loris, South Carolina, Gail and Bob Mazurek, Colorado, Laverne and Linda Cornelison , Springfield, MO, Sherrill and Paul Luce, Springfield, MO, Paulette and Rick Dorland, Springfield, MO, Dwayne and Leah Cornelison, Pleasant Hope, MO, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Ed Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed. 6 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes. Online condolence may be made at clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com. Family and friends are invited Thursday to the VFW across from the post office in Ava for Dinner and visiting from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
