DALLAS L. HERD
July 21, 1921- May 16, 2007

Dallas L. Herd was born July 21, 1921 at Isabella, Missouri to Joe and Alta Mae (Wallace) Herd and departed this life May 16, 2007 at Gassville, Arkansas.
Dallas was a kind, loving, son, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his two daughters Jeanie Richison of Gainesville, Missouri and Dana McConnell and husband Roger of Flippin, Arkansas and one son Brent Herd and wife Allene of Miller, Missouri; two sisters Donna Hobbs of Grandview, Missouri and Bonnie Johnson of Dixon, Missouri; five grandchildren Patti Clark and husband Brad of Smyrna, Tennessee, Shawn Richison and wife Jan of Ozark, Missouri, Erin Richison of Gainesville, Missouri, Corey Evans and wife Courtney of Omaha, Arkansas, and Kristian Shaver and husband Rusty of Franklin, Arkansas; three step-grandchildren Toni Ray, Brandi McConnell, and Tammy Tucker; sixteen great grandchildren. A special nephew Garrick Honeycutt, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Mae Herd, one son Brad Herd, one grandson Case Evans, four sisters Alaska Swearengin, Blanche Honeycutt, Norma Herron, Stella Trotter; two brothers Willard Herd and Elvin Herd; and two brothers and two sisters who died in infancy.
Dallas served his family as a farmer, served his community as a teacher, served his country in the Army during World War II, served Ozark County as County Clerk for 40 years, and served The Lord as a member of the Church Of Christ.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
