Dana Lynn Long, 56 years, passed away on May 29, 2010 at her home in Ava, MO.

Dana was born March 1, 1954 in Vernal, UT to Grant and Opal Floy (Slaugh) Johnson.

Dana was a resident of Ava for several years. On Feb. 6, 1970 Dana and Eugene "Huey" Long were united in marriage in Vernal, UT and to this union three children were born. Dana enjoyed spending time with all of her family and especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to family gatherings. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ava, MO.

Dana was preceded in death by one brother, Morgan Johnson and her grandparents.

Dana is survived by three children,Wayne Long, Longlane, MO, Stephanie Davis and Amy Long, both of Ava, MO, her parents, Grant and Floy Johnson, Ava, MO, the father of her children, "Huey" Long, Vernal, UT, seven grandchildren, Katelyn, Joey, Jake, Emily, Amber, Alex and Austin, six brothers and sisters, Lorene Stubbs, Dell Johnson and Carrie Shiftlet all of Vernal, UT, Kent Johnson, Ava, MO, Darrell Johnson, Fordland, MO and Glendon Johnson, Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dana will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ava, MO with burial in the Brushyknob Cemetery east of Ava. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials may be made to the family as a Love Offering in care of the funeral home.
