Daniel David Smotherman, 80, of Pontiac, Missouri died peacefully in his home on Monday, October 10, 2022. He was born December 6, 1941 in Charleston, Missouri.

Dan was a retired tool and die machinist and United States Air Force veteran.  He loved to spend his time outdoors and with family and friends. He was a wonderful man who loved his family fiercely and will be missed by many.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lula, nee Todd, Smotherman; brothers, Fred (Mildred) Smotherman, Cleo Smotherman; and sisters Veda (Buck) Eldridge, Theda (Leonard) Kaschmitter and Weda Clemment.

Surviving are his daughters Toni (Kirk) Mitchell of Pontiac, MO and De (Tim) Littlefield of Marine, IL; his grandchildren Danielle Ellis and Samuel Garland; and his sister Marie Pemberton.
