DANNY RAY SMITH
Danny Ray Smith, 52, Pontiac, MO, passed away on September 14, 2009 in Forsyth, MO. He was born July 20, 1957 in Bakersfield, CA to Jonas and Jennie (Cobbs) Smith.
Danny worked for many years as a mill foreman and later as a playground builder. He was involved in the making of playground equipment for recreational areas as well as companies such as McDonald's and Burger King Restaurants. He was a fun loving son, brother, father and friend who will be missed by all.
He is survived by father Jonas Smith of Pontiac, MO; two daughters Stephanie Chandler of Bakersfield, CA and Stacy Smith of Frazier Park, CA; two grandchildren Hayley and Aden Edgar; one sister Debbie Smith of Gainesville, MO; three brothers Terry Lee Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, Robert Joe Smith of Midway, AR, Ricky Gene Smith of Ottertail, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother Jennie Smith on August 20th of last year.
A Memorial service is planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Pontiac Fire Department. Come celebrate his life with us! Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
