Darla Loftis, 66, of Thornfield, MO passed away on November 11, 2023 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born December 30, 1956 in Gainesville, MO to Roy Johnson and Yvonne Williamson.

Darla graduated from Gainesville High School with the class of 1974. On June 21, 1978, she was united in marriage to Les Loftis in Cheyenne, WY while Les was awaiting military deployment overseas. The couple traveled the world together before Les retired from the military and they settled back home in Thornfield in 1996. Darla loved being back home and close to her family. She enjoyed the simple life and all the Ozarks have to offer. She worked twelve years for Jean Allen at The Flower Shop in Gainesville, but her most important role was that of a homemaker. She took great pride in her family, raising her children and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all.

Darla is survived by her husband, Les Loftis of the home; one daughter Lisa Loftis and husband Tom; one son Loyd Loftis and wife VaNessa; four grandchildren Ella Loftis, Tessa Loftis, LuAnna Loftis and Jenna Loftis; her father Roy Johnson; her mother Yvonne Keeny; and three siblings: Betty Ousley, Roy Johnson and Steve Johnson.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in the Loftis Cemetery. Officiating will be Milan Chisam. Memorial contributions may be made to the Loftis Cemetery or to giver's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
