Daughter of Robert Edward Ridenour and Lola Ann (Medlock) Ridenour was born June 16, 1948 in Ava, Mo and passed away September 24, 2006 at the age of 58 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

On March 8, 1968 Darlene and Donald Lee Downs were united in marriage in Squires, Missouri. To this union 7 children were born. Darlene was employed at the Douglas County Courthouse for many years. She was dedicated to her family. Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister who absolutely doated on her grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by:
2 sons: Donnie and wife Karen of Ava, MO and Eddie and wife Missi of Squires, MO. 4 daughters: Karry Davis and husband Steve of Ava, MO, Robin Lambert and husband Robert of Ava, MO, Janette Stover and husband Matt of Squires, MO, Rachel Willis and husband Daniel of Ava, MO. 5 brothers: Jerry Ridenour of Ava, Howard Ridenour of Springfield, Dean Ridenour of Ava, Rick Ridenour of Republic, Greg Ridenour of Florida, 2 sisters: June Copas of Forsythe, and Peggy Ridenour of Forsythe and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lowell Ridenour; one sister Donna Emerick; one daughter, Teressa Downs; and 2 grandchildren, Natasha Lambert and Katelin Hicks.

Services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, Missouri with Rev. Donald Potter and Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating and burial in Whites Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to White Creek Cemetery Fund. Services are conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava, Missouri.
