DARLENE MAE RUBEY
Darlene Mae Rubey, 90, of Gainesville, MO passed away on January 17, 2016 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born on June 29, 1925 in Dallas City, IL the daughter of Harrison Bennett and Oria Olia (Ash) Bennett.
Darlene loved to crochet, cook, garden and canning foods. She lived her life to the fullest. She loved animals of all kinds. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Rubey and niece Mary Deherrera both of Gainesville, MO. She was preceded in death by her mother Oria Olia Bennett Wasson; her father Harrison Bennett; her step-father Pearl Wasson; her husband Henry Rubey; one daughter Karen Rubey; her brothers and sisters: Rebecca Evans Starkey, Oscar Evans, Guy Evans, Mary Bennett Gibbs Hood, Bertha Bennett Smith Lack, Vester Bennett and William Bennett; nieces and nephews Thomas Hood, Sherry Starkey, Dixie Lack and Richard Lack.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
