DAROLD "REX" WALLACE

Darold "Rex" Wallace, 72, of Theodosia, MO passed away on September 13, 2015 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on May 6, 1943 in Hammond, MO the son of Vern and Gertrude (Gaulding) Wallace.

On August 12, 1961 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Howerton in Hammond. To this union three children were born: Ron, Penny and David. Rex worked most his life as a well digger and a logger. He worked hard to provide for his family. Rex loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid fisherman who was known as one of the best around. He enjoyed life and spending time with his family. His grandkids and great grandkids were his pride and joy. Rex was a Christian and attended Hilltop Victory Chapel in Thornfield. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vern and Gertrude Wallace and one brother Joe Bill Wallace. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Wallace of the home in Theodosia, MO; his children Ron Wallace and wife Lucille of Phillipsburg, MO, Penny Hampton of Sparta, MO and David Wallace of Theodosia, MO; four grandchildren: Levi Wallace, Landan Wallace, Amanda Clemments, and Candace Hampton; eight great grandchildren; and one sister Vonna Dean Hathcock.

Funeral services are Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Brad Pellham and Dale Roberts officiating. Burial is in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. The family asks that memorial contributions be made as a Love Offering to help with funeral expenses, or to the Thornfield Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
