Dave William Fleetwood
Squires, MO

Dave William Fleetwood, son of William Dave Fleetwood and Maggie (Hitchcock) Fleetwood was born Aug. 23, 1927 at Squires, Missouri and passed away July 8, 2008 at the age of 80 years 10 months and 15 days.

Dave was a life long resident of Squires, MO. On March 6, 1959 Dave and Sylvia Marie Maples were united in marriage by Rev. Earnest Hamby in Ava, MO and they were blessed with one son, Robert, who resides in Branson West, MO and is employed by Silver Dollar City. Dave was a road construction laborer and farmer. At the time of his death he was still residing on the farm where he was probably born. Dave attended Murray Church.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Sherman and Burney Fleetwood, one sister, Dorothy (Fleetwood) Plumb and her husband Billy Plumb, two half-brothers, Bill (Will) and Fred Fleetwood, two nephews, Timothy Hartgraves and Harlin Plumb.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia and son Robert William (Bobby) Fleetwood. Two sisters and their spouses, Ellie and Russell Doran, Ava, MO and Ethil and Leon Lane, Squires, MO, nieces, Betty and Darrel Hesterlee, Ruby and Ray Gard of Independence, MO,sister-in-law, Linna Rae Fleetwood, Squires, MO and many other nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 11, 2008 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Junior Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 6 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Murray Cemetery.
