Obituary

David Thomas Liss, 54, passed away in his sleep at the Lake in Isabella on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. He was a man with a big heart as a Pipefitter from Local 52. He lived a hard life, enjoyed hunting, fine wines, cigars, cooking and salmon trips with Mike especially on the Strait of Juan de Fuca on the Olympic Penisula and deer hunting and fresh water fishing with Donnie

He leaves behind his extended family Shirley, Ronnie Garrison and their family, Shawn, Jenni, Tyler, Ryan and Matt Shoush of Branson and Betty Garfit of Isabella. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Liss who he was living with in Lonedell, Missouri over the past year. He follows Fritz and Eleanor Liss (parents) who died over the past 6 years in Des Peres, Missouri and relatives from Greater Seattle and Chicago areas: Joan Ponhold (aunt), Uncles: Russ, Stanley and his wife June (aunt) and Ed leaving behind his remaining siblings in Greater St. Louis area: Mike, Donnie, Linda (Jerry and his sons, TJ and Justin) and nephews Luke, Landon and James. His cousins living Christine, Uncle Stanley's children and Aunt Joanne's childen, Aunt Shirley and her children. He leaves his only daughter, Nicole Budina and two granddaughters.

He also leaves behind Kathy McCourt, his friend Kent White and family, Bill and Bob and Dr. Dan who took care of Dave's lake partners Murphy, Snickers, Charlie and Willow.

The funeral mass will be held at St. Williams Catholic Church (Fr. Paul Wightman presiding) in Gainesville (417) 679-3315 on Saturday, September 20th at 11 am. A second mass will be held on October 4, 2014 at Noon at St. Gerard Magella in Des Peres, MO. David will rest in peace with his beloved Murphy. We will all celebrate his life forever. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
