DAVID ELISHA (DELBERT) LUNA
Delbert Luna, 82, Gainesville, was born December 12, 1928, the son of David Wesley and Julia Martin Luna at Sycamore, MO. He died April 22, 2011, in Mountain Home, AR.
Delbert married Bonnie Smith July 9, 1948 in Mountain Home, AR, and they have enjoyed 62 years together.
Delbert was employed by Amyx Auto Co. in Gainesville for 51 years, where he worked in various positions until they closed their doors permanently in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his three daughters: Carolyn Sue Cockman, and husband Larry of Doniphan, MO; Marilyn Tilley of Gainesville, MO; and Shirley "Shorty" Sinor, and husband Delbert of Ozark, MO; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Delbert will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Gainesville, MO with Halbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Ball Cemetery, Dora, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, April 24th from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ball Cemetery or Martin Cemetery, and can be left at the funeral home.
