Dawn Lynn Hodges, 48 years, 9 months, and 20 days old, passed to heaven on December 14, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.

Dawn was born February 25, 1962 in Pottsville, PA to Judith (Shuey) Maurer and Harold Maurer.

Dawn was a resident of the Chadwick area since 1996 moving from Bradleyville. On February 4, 1995 Dawn and "Boone" Hodges were united in marriage in Bradleyville, MO.

Dawn worked as a Credit Analyst with Great Southern Bank in Springfield, MO. She was a Christian and attended the Baptist Church in Bradleyville. Dawn had received a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. She enjoyed running, biking, gardening, canning, reading and working on the farm with "Boone". She was a hard worker and was always busy. She especially loved going to church. Dawn was very strong physically and spritually.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Harold N. Maurer and an infant sister, Brenda.


Dawn is survived by her husband, "Boone" Hodges, Chadwick, MO, her mother and step father, Judy and Ron Alstatt, Bradleyville, MO, step mother, Gerry Maurer, Manheim, PA, two sisters and their spouses, Denise & James Bryington, Enola, PA, Penny-Jo Williamson, Bradleyville, MO and one brother & wife, Todd & Carolyn Maurer, Manheim, PA, her grandmother, Verna Shuey, Elizabethtown, PA, two step brothers and one step sister, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dawn will be Friday, December 17, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Jack Clemans and Rev. Tom Hodges.
