Dawn Leanora Nelson, of Oldfield, MO passed away, with her family by her side, on January 27, 2015 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield MO.

She was born in Cicero, Illinois on January 10th, 1960, the daughter of George and Maxine (Schloss) Beltz. She was united in marriage on September 18, 2004 to Terry Nelson. Dawn was blessed with three children.

With all her heart, Dawn loved her family and friends.
Dawn's husband, children and grandchildren were the most important things in her life and her joy was spending time with them. She was an animal lover, loved riding horses and spending time outside. She was a rescuer of stray animals and children. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and crafting.

Dawn was a true people person, her outgoing friendly, personality drew all those that knew her close. She was the life of the party.

She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Dawn is survived by her mother, her husband Terry, three children; Melanie Costello of Indianola, Iowa, Rhonda Seward and husband, Rodney of New Virginia, Iowa, and Casey Fuller and wife, Stefany, Las Vegas, NV, five grandchildren, Brandyne, Rosemary, Rod, Paige, and Addison, one great grand-daughter, Evelyn, siblings, George Beltz, Jr., Suzette Smrz, Gary Richardson, Brandy Richardson, Melanie Buchanan, Brooke Richardson, Pamela Barlow, Jody Beltz, and Melanie Rushing, and many other family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Union Grove Cemetery on Wednesday, January 28th at 3:00 p.m. Officiating is Pastor Oren Alcorn. A memorial will be at a later date and time in Iowa.
