Delilah May Koester, daughter of Barney Singleton and Florence Ethel Mankin Singleton was born on April 14, 1918 in Douglas County, MO and departed from this life on May 27, 2007 in Christian Healthcare, Nixa, MO at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 13 days.
Delilah was a resident of Nixa for six years moving from Ava.
On Dec. 27, 1949 Delilah and Harry J. Koester were united in marriage in the state of Nevada. Delilah was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Ava.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Ethel Singleton, her husband, Harry in 1985, three brothers, Clarence, Robert and W.D. Singleton, three sisters, Wanda June Singleton, Florence Zismer and Beulah Briggs.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Opal Singleton, Ava, MO, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 29, 2007, 2:00 P.M. in the Ava Cemetery with Pastor Tom Maples officiating. A visitation will be prior to the graveside on Tues., 1:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home. Family requests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, MO.
