Delmar Rosseau

Ava, Missouri

Delmar J. Rosseau, 91 years, 1 month, 30 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on June 14, 2021 at Ozark Nursing and Care Center, Ozark, MO with his family by his side.

Delmar was born April 15, 1930 in Rome, MO to Homer William and Amy Ellen (Sanders) Rosseau.

Delmar was retired from working as a Supervisor for the U.S. Forestry and Conservation Service in Douglas County, MO and he had also worked as a Mechanic.

On November 29, 1949 Delmar and Nellie Blakey were united in marriage at Mtn. Home, AR and to this union were blessed with three children, Frank, Betty & Beth. Nellie preceded in death 1991. In later years he and Margaret Deatherage Bice were united in marriage on July 6, 2004 at Union Grove, MO.

Delmar was a Christian and attended the Walnut Grove General Baptist Church with Margaret. He loved to tinker with mechanics and raise and work in his garden. He enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends in his home. Delmar was devoted to his family and adored them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nellie, his granddaughter, Karie Gail Hanger, four sisters, Velma Cross, Elva Mathews,  Goldie Sutherland and Dorothy Burton, and two brothers, Norman & Marvin Rosseau.

Delmar is survived by his wife, Margaret of the home in Ava, three children and their spouses, Frank & Velma Rosseau, Betty & Michael LaGue and Beth & Cliff, three step daughters and their spouses, Bevy & Gary Moore, Donna & Keith Bannister, and Becky & Rusty Carter, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren (two on-the-way) his twin sister and her husband, Delphia & Ray Roller, two sister's-in-law, Cora Lee Rosseau and Maxine Rosseau, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Delmar will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Springcreek Cemetery. A Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to service time.

Officiating will be Pastor David Evans and Pastor Robert Roberts. Memorials may be made to Springcreek Cemetery or Walnut Grove General Baptist Church.
