Denny Roberts

Ava, Missouri

James Dennis "Denny" Roberts, 69 years, 11 months, 10 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on February 8, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO with his son, Heath by his side.

Denny was born February 29, 1952 in Brownbranch, MO to Reverend Glesco Roberts and Edith Mae (Boggs) Roberts.

Denny and Reanee Brooks were united in marriage May 20, 1972 at Black Oak Church in Ava and together they had one son, Heath.

At a young age Denny accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at church camp. Denny was previously a member of Black Oak General Baptist Church and was currently attending Destination  Church. Denny faithfully served the Lord always wanting others to see Jesus in him. Denny could make anyone laugh or smile and he could always make one feel at ease. Denny was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and proud PaPa! He loved all his family. He especially enjoyed hearing Heath play music and tried to never miss an event.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Eldon and Wilma Brooks; and one brother, Darrell Roberts.

He is survived by his wife, Reanee; son, Heath Roberts and wife Cara; three grandchildren, Tate, Grayson and Lakin; one sister, Janice Keith and husband Bob; sister-in-law, Treva Brooks;niece, Buffy Dale;nephews, Lane Jenkins and Kirk Roberts; great niece, Haley Dale, a host of relatives and many friends.

Denny's favorite bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."

Graveside services for Denny will be at Ava Cemetery, Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.  Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
