DIANA KAY WALRATH JEWELL

Funeral services for Diana Kay Walrath Jewell, 56, of Jonesboro will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville at 2 pm. A Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, August 18 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jewell died August 16, 2015 at home after a battle with cancer.
She was born May 30, 1959, in Gainesville, the daughter of Bill and Mary Harley Walrath. On November 1, 1985 she married David Jewell at the State Line Church in Missouri.

Diana was a Registered Dietician, Diabetes Educator, and Renal Specialist. She worked at various hospitals, dialysis centers, and her last place of employment was the Renel Center of Mountain Home, AR. She dedicated many hours of her life both on and off the job helping others. She devoted the last years of her life before her illness as a care giver for her father. She was a Christian lady and read and studied the bible daily.

Survivors include: Her husband David Jewell of Jonesboro, AR, 2 step children Latricia Jewell and David "Dale" Jewell of Ozark, Alabama, 3 step grandchildren Darrius, Kaylee and Lola Jewell, 1 sister Tena McKinzie and husband Scott of Gainesville, 2 brothers Joe Walrath and wife Melinda of Gainesville, and Robby Walrath of Gainesville. 3 nephews Zach McKinzie, Briar Walrath, and Jay Dexter, 2 nieces Elizabeth Spartman and Kaylee Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Walrath and one brother Billy Dean Walrath. Burial is in the Mammoth Cemetery. In love for her patients memorial donations may be made to the Renel Center of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
