DOHNA FAY MAHAN

Dohna Fay Mahan, 98, of Gainesville, MO passed away April 6, 2019 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. She was born February 1, 1921 in Brixey, MO to Harold and Blanch (Luna) Bushong.

On March 8, 1940 Dohna was united in marriage to William Ralph Mahan in Yazoo City, MS. To this union six children were born. Dohna led a simple life but took great pride in her family. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, her chickens, and most of all her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children Jerald Mahan of Gainesville, MO, Phyllis Mullins of Kansas City, MO, and Tom Mahan of Springfield, MO; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three children Nettie Hudson, Jim Mahan Phillip Lee Mahan; and six siblings.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Halbert Smith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
