Obituary

A Memorial service for Donald O. Noah, 89, Theodosia, MO will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 in the Theodosia United
Methodist Church, Theodosia, MO with Gene West officiating.
Cremation services are under the care
and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Theodosia United Methodist Church.

Donald O. Noah was born on a farm near Nemaha, NE on May 29, 1922 and left this earth on January 24, 2012. He grew up during the Great Depression and graduated 8th grade from a one-room country school in 1936.
Don moved to Chicago with his mother and graduated from Robert A. Waller High School in 1940. After
Leaving high school, he became employed as a brakeman on the Burlington Railroad in Nebraska and South Dakota.

With World War II coming on, he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corp for flight training. He went on to command pilot, commission officer major, progressing to B-17 Bomber. He was honorably discharged and signed into the reserve to serve another 27 years.
He was retired from the United States Air Force in 1982. During his aviation career, he was a flight instructor, crop duster, and airline pilot. Eventually, joining the Union Oil Company as a corporate pilot for 28 years and retired from aviation in 1984.

Since April 2001, Don has been sight manager and engineer for FM broadcasting radio station KMAC at Gainesville, MO.
In 2007, he was honored by the Missouri State Legislature as the oldest worker in 12 county area of Gainesville, MO.
Joined in marriage with Gloria Joan Lewis in Elmhurst, IL in November of 1954. Gloria at that time was an American Airline stewardess. This marriage is now ended after 57 years with the vow until death do us part.

Don is preceded in death by father Fred, mother Carrie, brother Marvin, sisters Margaret and Lucille.
He is survived by wife Gloria, daughter Cheryl Noah-Burseth and her husband Eric, gransons Derek and Gavin Burseth, of Bartlett, IL., son Daniel and his wife Joyce, and granddaughters Megan, Danielle, Katie, and Annie of Theodosia,MO.
