DONA JEAN PETERS
Dona Jean Peters, 72, of Gainesville, MO, lived a full and beautiful life from the time of her birth in Grand Island, Nebraska on October 20, 1938, until the Lord called her home peacefully on the morning of Saturday, April 9, 2011 at her residence after her long illness.
She was a homemaker and military wife spending many years traveling with her husband, Don, eventually making Gainesville her home.
Her survivors include two sons, Ronald Peters of Gainesville, MO, Donald Ray Peters and wife Suzanne of LaGrange, NC; three daughters Carmen Crouthamel and husband Phil of Seven Springs, NC, Tame Ritchie and husband Bob of Pace, FL, and Vonda Burkhart and husband Terry of Mountain Home, AR; eleven grandchildren Brock Peters and wife Pam of Mountain Home, AR, Erica Chunn and husband John stationed at Fort Rucker, AL, Andrew Vyborny of Harrison, AR, Dakota Bearden of Ocie, MO, Christopher and Whitney Burkhart of Mountain Home, AR, Jamie Crouthamel of Charleston, SC, Jeremy Crouthamel of Washington, DC, Jordan Crouthamel of Seven Springs, NC, Joseph and Ashley Peters of LaGrange, NC; and six precious great-grandchildren; three sisters Joanne McAdams of Nebraska, Nancy Bruns and Joyce Hamburger of Kansas; one brother-in-law Gerald Peters of Gainesville, MO; niece Carolyn McCullough of Gainesville, MO; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, Donald Ray Peters; daughter Roxanne Peters; and parents Gilbert and Lucille Harder.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 in the Sanders Cemetery, Gainesville, MO with Gale Wooten officiating. Open visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Gainesville, MO.
