Donald Gene Hudson, 65, of Gainesville, MO passed away on September 28, 2020 at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, MO. He was born May 31, 1955 in Gainesville, MO to James McKinley and Freda Alzada (Loftis) Hudson.

Donald was a graduate of Gainesville High School. He was a talented carpenter and loved to play his guitar. He hardly watched tv but his favorite show was Arnold Murray. He would wake up around 5 every morning to watch him preach when he was at home. He loved talking to his grandsons and still teased them every chance he got.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Freda and James Hudson. He is survived by two sisters Jamie Hudson and Carol Hudson Taylor and her husband Rick Taylor; one brother Doug Hudson; two children Dustin Hudson and Renee, Mindi Lawson and Monty and their children including two special grandchildren Colton and Rhett Lawson; and many cousins and relatives.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 in the Loftis Cemetery with Jeff Dotson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
