DONALD ELDON JORDAN

A memorial service for Donald Eldon Jordan, 79, of Thornfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO.

Mr. Jordan died June 19, 2019 at home with family by his side. He was born June 7, 1940 south of Gainesville, MO to Geneva (Welch) Jordan and Henry Clay Jordan. He was raised in the Romance and Wasola, MO area. He moved to Springfield, MO, then later to Texas.

In 1961 he married Jody Minkler, but later divorced. He retired from the Duncanville, TX post office and moved to Wasola, MO. He married Marlene Evans in 1996 and they made their home in Thornfield. He loved to fish, work on the farm, and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Marlene of the home; two brothers Dale Rupert Jordan and Dennis Darrell Jordan; three children Brad Jordan and wife Hayley of Sherman, TX, Dana Nutt and husband Wayne of Mabank, TX, step daughter Adealia Evans of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Geneva and Clay Jordan; one grandson Jonathon Nutt.

The family has honored Donald's wish for cremation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wasola Fire Department. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
