Donald Eugene Phillips, 69 years, 10 months, and 7 days old, passed away on, June 27, 2026, at his home in Ava, Missouri.

Don was born August 20, 1956, in Silver Creek, New York to George Howard Sr. and Florence Cecile (Binner) Phillips. He grew up in a small village in New York and the whole family later moved to Southwest Missouri.

He was a hard worker and worked as a Stockman at Walmart in Ava for 15 years. He was a Christian.

On August 19, 1999, Donald and Carol Ann (Darby) Burchell were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri.

His hobbies included watching John Wayne movies, playing scratch off tickets, going to bingo with his son in law Jerry, listening to classic country, watching the Buffalo Bills, and spending time with his family but most of all with his granddaughter Taylee.

When hard times happened he laughed at them because of his faith. He was most famous for teaching his kids you can either cry about it or walk through it with faith.
