Donna Marie Cantrell, 82 years, 9 months, and 21 days old, passed to heaven on April 4, 2013 at her home in Ava.

Donna was born June 14, 1930 in Sutherland, Nebraska, to Harold and Maxine (Dikeman) Armstrong.



Donna was united in marriage to Lester O. Stierlen Sept. 19, 1946 in Paxton, NE.



Donna and Harold Cantrell were united in marriage on August 3, 1965 in Miami, OK. Together, they owned and operated a trucking business for many years, leasing to Hirschbach Trucking for seventeen years.



Donna loved life, she was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. She enjoyed painting but especially enjoyed working with Harold and spending time with her children and grandchildren.



Donna is proceeded by an infant son, Harold Cantrell Jr., two brothers, Clark and Marvin Armstrong, and two brothers-in-law, Gary and Jerry Cantrell.

Donna is survived by her husband, Harold Cantrell, of the home, eight children, Judy Bastin and husband Skeeter, Ava, MO, Kathleen Potter and husband Robert, Ava,MO, Leslie Gale Johnson and husband Dennis, Williams, MN, Dan Cantrell, Joplin, MO, Marretta Voyles and husband Terry, Licking, MO, Les Cantrell and wife Lisa, Manes, MO, Marty Cantrell, Waynesville, MO, Marcie Cantrell, Dixon, MO, twelve grandchildren, twentyfour great-grandchildren, a brother, Raymond Armstrong and wife Sharon and a sister Virginia Faye and many other friends and relatives.




Funeral services for Donna will be Monday, April 8th, 2013,at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO, with burial in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Donald Potter and E.J. Hampton. Memorials may be made to Thornfield Cemetery.
