Donna Kathleen Silvey Kropp

Donna Kathleen Kropp, 95, passed away on September 14, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Jefferson City where she lived for the last 16 years. Donna was born October 28, 1926, in Ava, to Hobart Silvey and Mayme Lakey, and on September 1, 1946, she married Leonard Kropp, also of Ava. Donna was a descendant of many early settlers, leading Leonard to laugh and say that when he married Donna, he thought he had married half the county. She was a homemaker, known for her cooking and artisan bread baking skills, and for her eye in creating blue ribbon flower arrangements. In the sixties, she became a highly successful real estate agent in Searcy, Arkansas. Upon retirement, she and her husband spent summers fishing on Table Rock Lake and winters at their retirement home near Mission, Texas. She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Richardson, Carolyn Kropp of Branson, and Marsha Williams (Eugene) of Thompson's Station, Tennessee, and grandchildren, Chris Richardson (Emily), Kelli Richardson, Rachel Williams (Aeron), Sarah Williams Mayhugh (Clay) and Jackson Williams, and eight great-grandchildren.  Her friends and family held a celebration of her life on October 28, at her home, on what would have been her 96th birthday.

On Saturday, August 12, a brief graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Ava Cemetery.  All friends and family members are invited to attend and visit with the family.
