Doris Lambeth

Doris Marie Lambeth, 86 years, 3 months, 24 days old, passed away on December 25, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.

Doris was born August 31, 1931 in Springfield, MO to Condy and Verbial (Cox) Cornett and lived most of her life in McClurg, MO.

Doris graduated from Bradleyville High School in 1947.

On December 10, 1950 Doris and Hiram Lambeth were united in marriage in the home that they shared for the next 67 years. They

were blessed with two daughters, Bobbie and Sandy.

She was saved at Bethel Church and was a faithful member there several years. She later became a member of Caney General Baptist Church and attended there until her illness prevented her going.

She was a homemaker and worked  beside her husband, Hi on the farm and in the woods. She was his faithful companion.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nancy Todd.

She is survived by her husband, Hiram of the home, two daughters, Bobbie Comer and husband, Bob, and Sandy Ross, four grandsons, two  great grandsons, one brother, Wondy Cornett, six sisters, Mary Reed, Juanita Dixon, Wannetta Plumb, Shirley Johnson, Kay Whittaker, and Jo Johnson, many nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Doris will be Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 28 ^th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
