Doris Ellen Shoemaker 76, of Gainesville, MO left her earthly home on August 12, 2023, with her family by her side. Doris was born February 09, 1947, to James and Ederroda Johnson in Bluefield, West Virigina.

Doris was united in marriage to husband James J. Shoemaker Jr. They had two sons, Michael, and Steven. Doris was a homemaker, loving wife, and mother.  She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Doris is survived by her husband James Shoemaker of the home, and sons Michael Shoemaker of Gainesville, Missouri, and Steven Shoemaker of New Hampshire. She is also survived by Jamie Brightwell of Maryland.

Doris was preceded in death by two brothers Bobby and Billy Johnson.
