Dorothy Frances "Fran" Davis

Dorothy Frances Davis was born on Dec 14th, 1939 in Charleston, IL to Paul and Dorothy Irene (Waltrip) Lawyer. She left this world Peacefully on April 27th, 2011.

On April 3, 1962 "Fran" and Ronald E. "Ron" Davis were united in marriage in Sullivan, IL and to this union two daughters were born. Fran was a resident of the Wasola community for many years.

Fran was an active and supportive member of several community groups;
VFW Post 5993, Electric Company Co-Op, Wasola Fire Dept
and Ava Public Library.

Fran loved being the tour guide to friends, family and visitors when they came to the area. She loved going to local auctions, Squires fireworks, quilting club, computer classes at Ava Library and working Bingo for VFW Post 5993.


Fran was preceded in death by her husband "Ron" Davis and her parents Dorothy Waltrip and Paul Lawyer, SR.


Fran is survived by her two Daughters Debbie Davis, Sistersville, WV and Jullie Davis, Lubbock, TX who Love and Miss her Very Deeply.
She is also survived by her Aunt, Mary Hickinbottom, IL and two cousins Jerry Dean and Patty. Fran is also survived by, half brothers, Don Lawyer, IL, Terry Lawyer, FL and Paul Lawyer Jr, NM, special friends, Gary & Margaret Wiseman, Debbie Lawyer, Mo, and Kathy Cole, CO, and many other relatives and friends.


Graveside services for Fran will be Monday, May 2, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, MO. Officiating will be E.J. Hampton . Please omit flowers. Contributions can be made in memory of Fran Davis at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
